INGREDIENT PROFILE
DAMIANA
The Ancient Mayas and Aztecs used Damiana as an aphrodisiac, relaxant and also as a general herb to improve health. In the 1870s, it was imported into the United States and advertised as a powerful aphrodisiac. Damiana has also gained recent notoriety across Europe, due to its reported mild “high”. Although disputed by scientists Damiana is still often used to induce a legal herbal “high”.
CARDAMOM
The dried ripe fruits of cardamom have been used as a spice and in medicines since the 4th century BC. It was first imported into Europe around 1300 BC whereby herbalists used cardamom as a digestive aid. In Ayurvedic medicine cardamom is used for its detoxifying effect helping the liver remove toxins from the body.
GINKGO BILOBA

First used for medicinal properties in Ancient China for its cognitive benefits such as reducing anxiety, depression and psychiatric disorders including dementia. It is also believed to support vision and general eye health.
HOLY BASIL
A legendary herb, known throughout the ages as “The Elixir of Life” and “Mother Medicine of Nature.” Yogis and spiritual seekers have used this herb for its distinct effects on the nervous system and its ability to restore and balance the subtle electromagnetic fields generated by the mind and body that is an important factor in human health.
PASSION FLOWER
First discovered in the 17th century by Spanish Jesuits in Peru and named because it resembled the crucifixion of Christ! Peruvians traditionally used the flower as a sedative and today it is used to help alleviate anxiety.
ROSE PETAL
Rose plants are believed to have originated in Asia and were first cultivated by the Chinese 5,000 years ago. They have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for their mildly sedative, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-parasitic properties. They're also a good supportive tonic for the heart, and great for lowering cholesterol
Fun Fact
Damiana was first used by the indigenous Guaycura in the Baja region of Mexico. Originally taken during religious ceremonies, it was later banned due to its "passion inspiring properties" getting out of hand!
