INGREDIENT PROFILE

MUGWORT

Mugwort has a very long history dating back to  3 BC. It has been used as a spice, food, medicine and spiritual aid. Its generic name is from the Greek goddess Artemis, a patron of women. Mugwort has long been considered the herbal friend for women in regulating the menstrual cycle and easing the transition to menopause. Mugwort’s magic is in its believed ability to stimulate predictive and vivid dreams when the herb is placed near the bed or under the sleeper's pillow.

ANISEED

The oldest cultivated spice recorded as early as the sixth century as an important herbal remedy. Hippocrates used aniseed to relieve anxiety and digestive disorders. It was so popular in the 1300’s that King Edward imposed an import tax on it!

CHAMOMILE FLOWER

Used in herbal remedies for thousands of years in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Its popularity grew in the Middle Ages as a remedy for asthma, nausea colic, fevers, inflammations, anxiety skin diseases and cancer.

GINKGO BILOBA

Believed to date back to over 150 million years old with some trees currently over 2,500 years old! First used for medicinal properties in Ancient China for its cognitive benefits such as reducing anxiety, depression and psychiatric disorders including dementia. It is also believed to support vision and general eye health.

HOLY BASIL

A legendary herb, known throughout the ages as “The Elixir of Life” and “Mother Medicine of Nature.” Yogis and spiritual seekers have used this herb for its distinct effects on the nervous system and its ability to restore and balance the subtle electromagnetic fields generated by the mind and body that is an important factor in human health.

LEMON BALM

Regarded as a “calming” herb and traditionally used to combat anxiety, stress and insomnia, to treat wounds, ease indigestion and to stimulate the appetite. Lemon Balm tea has enjoyed a long reputation as a rejuvenating tonic. King Charles V of France (1364-1380) reputedly sipped on lemon balm tea daily to ensure good health and longevity.

Fun Fact

In 17th century England, young women believed placing Mugwort under their beds at night would induce prophetic dreams of their future husbands!

I have multiple fibroids in my uterus so periods are always heavy and painful. Someone recommend I try a herbal tea out and I spotted this online and thought I'd give it a try and I am glad I did. Of course, I still get pain each month but it's not as intense and drinking it definitely makes me feel more relaxed and not as tense, which can only be a good thing. So not only does this tea help alleviate my mood, it also numbs the pain I usually feel
