The Japanese consider this traditional tea the elixir of beauty and gynaecological health. Yomogi leaves contain numerous antioxidants with potent anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting properties. Every 5th May, the Japanese embark to the countryside to collect fresh shōbu irises and yomogi leaves in the 1,400-year-old tradition of kusuri-gari (medicine hunt). The tradition began in the Asuka period (538-710 AD) during the reign of Empress Suiko, Japan’s first female monarch who was an accomplished herbalist. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Ingredients: 100% Wild Harvested Japanese Yomogi (Artemisia princeps) leaf
Suggested use: Add 1 tea bag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 5 to 10 minutes according to taste. Serve hot, cold or over ice.
